SPKAC Launches Character Symposium

On Oct 29th SPKAC launched our first ever Character Symposium.

The purposes of this session was to build around of 4 Club Pillars "Character" being one of them !!

This event was attended by all 11 teams, coaches, managers, board members and some parents.

Sessions were held around the following topics and presenters.  We want to thank our community partners in supporting us in communicating and educating on these important topics.


  • Drug and Alcohol Awareness - Shane Perka (Edmonton Police Service)
  • Mental Health Awareness - Karen and Erin (Strathcona County - Family and Community Services)
  • Sexual Awareness & Boundaries - Saffron Centre- Sherwood Park
  • Social Media Awareness - Saffron Centre- Sherwood Park


We have been provided with very positive feedback around this event and we anticipate holding sessions like this one going forward.
